Before QuHarrison Terry could take on seven marathons on seven continents in seven days, he had to learn the difference between surviving and building. Known as QT, he grew up a curious kid in Milwaukee, started his first business at 13 selling curriculum after a summer camp fell short, and pushed through the hustler years into real entrepreneurship, building ventures in marketing and digital art and later leading growth at Mark Cuban Companies. Along the way, a blunt critique from an investor forced him to rethink how he shows up as a leader. Now, with limited running experience, he is training for the Great World Race to raise money and awareness for homeless veterans. In this conversation with Pasha Palanker, QT gets candid about discipline, humility, finding the right team, training your self-talk, and taking the next step when you cannot see the whole road.

What This Episode Will Forge In You:
• Turn a Complaint Into a Contribution: At 13, QT took a summer camp he knew could be better and turned it into his first business, backed by a teacher and his father who believed in him.
• Make Critique Useful: A blunt investor conversation forced QT to examine his focus as a leader. His lesson: listening only counts when you answer it with visible change.
• Give the Miles a Mission: Seven marathons on seven continents is built on expert guidance, daily consistency, and trained self-talk, and every mile is pointed at raising money and awareness for homeless veterans.
Quotes That Hit Like A Hammer:
